Paradise Publishers Inc. Update
Dear Friends & Shareholders,
We hope this finds you well, having enjoyed a pleasant holiday season and anticipating 2014 to be your most prosperous year yet.
Paradise Publishers continues its accelerated growth and repeated success. We'd like to thank you and everyone for your commitment and efforts in support of our team and endeavors. While others in today’s challenging economic environment falter or fail, we are constantly forging ahead, improving and progressing. Nevertheless, the start of a new year is the perfect time to reflect on our recent achievements and to plan our course ahead.
First a look of our latest, and certainly encouraging numbers:
- 2013 revenues UP 24% over 2012
- Debt-free and profitable
- 7 straight years of significant growth
- Now reaching 4 MILLION members in total
- Every single day over 3,250 new Members join, on average
- Web site traffic for 2013 exceeded 16 million unique visitors
- Over 250,000 Facebook Fans and counting follow us
- Members download 15,000+ eBooks on a daily basis
The bulk of 2013 was spent developing 2 'new' properties: an updated design and interface for Free-eBooks.net and the final phase deployment of UnlimitedEbooks.com. While Free-eBooks.net is our oldest and most popular property, we're constantly striving to position it ahead of the curve.
As internet use through mobile devices is surpassing computer use, we've completely re-designed our websites' interfaces to capitalize on this shifting landscape. “Mobile phone shipments are projected to grow 3.7 percent, with volume of more than 1.8 billion units,” and “Worldwide tablet shipments continue to surge, growing 142.4% year over year in the first quarter of 2013 (1Q13), according to preliminary data from the International Data Corporation.”

Smartphones and tablets are only complementing “eReaders” as digital reading devices of choice. Now all these avid users can more easily access our eBook library directly from their device and within seconds. For a sneak preview of the new Free-eBooks.net interface, click here (Official launch & full capability set for February 10th, 2014). The premiere of this latest interface has been well-received during initial split-testing, where a quarter of all our web traffic is directed to it. The following observations revealed many benefits including:
- A 50% increase in advertising revenues with more effective placements
- Friendlier layout & functionality for mobile devices
- Faster browsing & download times
- Clean & simple ease-of-use experience
- Increased registrations per visitors
- Lower bounce rates (people who visit only 1 page) – down from 45% to 35%
- An overall increase in user satisfaction
With such positive feedback and results, we are looking to replicate it into our Spanish and Portuguese divisions; both of which we are happy to report, are growing tremendously. (ex: Spanish site has now nearly caught up with its English counterpart in terms of traffic).
As mentioned, we’re also aggressively developing and marketing UnlimitedEbooks.com. This newest endeavor is meant to expand our market reach by selling our ONline services through OFFline channels. The primary aim is to place eBook 'Gift Cards’ in retail outlets as well as hotels, cruise lines, airports, coffee houses and similar locations. These cards allow the bearer to access the Unlimited Ebooks library for a set duration of time at a certain price (e.g. 90 days for $20). Related expenses being minimal, profit margins are expected to exceed 90%. If you happen to have any relationships or contacts in the retail, hospitality or similarly appropriate industries, please let us know as we’d like the opportunity to speak with them.
2013 was also a time for community involvement. When Jennifer Smith, one of our members, approached us seeking help we jumped at the opportunity. Tragically her daughter was brutally murdered at the hands of her boyfriend earlier in the year. Using her narratives, we wrote and published 'I Trusted Him: the Story of Anna Lynn Hurd'. While a portion of the book speaks of those tragic events, the majority focuses on educating teens and parents on recognizing and addressing domestic violence and bullying. To date, the book's been downloaded nearly 20,000 times (between our sites) and been featured by media outlets like Fox News. We will continue to put this important and life-saving eBook in as many parent and teenage hands as possible.
One of our main objectives continues to be a challenge: enhancing the acceleration of Paradise’s growth through an investment bank and a public offering. Therefore, we're exploring alternative means to reach this goal. One option is pursuing the public route ourselves. In order to capitalize on the benefits of a public listing we'd still require a capital infusion, albeit a much smaller one, to adequately market the stock to our mutual benefit. If you're aware of anyone that would like to participate now at a discount from fair market value, please alert me and pass on their contact information. Between our 7-plus years of growth and momentum, along with our proactive development of new projects, we’re confident in maximizing our potential and profits.
We appreciate your ongoing interest and welcome your participation and input. Watch out for more announcements from Paradise Publishers as 2014 promises to be an exciting year! As always, all major company news is published at http://www.paradisepublishers.com/.
Once again, as we move forward with continued vigor and a commitment to the next level of success, we want to thank you for your continued support.
Nicolas Gremion and the entire Paradise Publishers team
